Merimbula Community Events
Merimbula is a beautiful town located in the Bega Valley Shire of New South Wales, Australia. It is a popular tourist spot that is known for its beautiful beaches, lakes and its annual festivals and events. The town hosts a number of regular community events throughout the year that are attended by both locals and visitors. Some of these events include:
- Merimbula Seaside Market: This market is held on the third Saturday of each month and features over 100 stalls selling local crafts, produce, and food.
- Merimbula Jazz Festival: This three-day festival is held annually over the June long weekend and features more than 140 jazz, swing and blues bands from around Australia and the world.
- Merimbula Whale Festival: This festival is held annually in October and celebrates the migration of whales along the coast. It features live music, food and wine stalls, and whale watching tours.
- Merimbula Fun Run: This annual event is held in October and attracts both serious runners and those looking for a fun day out. Participants can choose from a 5km or 10km run or a 5km walk.
